Workout Wednesday

Happy March
I was finally able
get my butt back into the gym yesterday. The last time I was there was about a
week ago and I felt like I was going to faint the entire time L. I was supposed to do legs but wasn’t
reaaaallly feeling that, so I decided to do an upper body workout instead. I am
still following the Katy Hearn Winter Challenge workouts but not as strictly.
Since we left for vacation I haven’t really been able to get back on the train
in full force. After we got back I jumped right back into it and then I got
sick so I skipped another week. I do like her workouts but I feel that
sometimes they can get a little more complicated than they need to be. I’d
rather just stick to the basics, ya know? 
Speaking of the
basics, lets chat about the grocery haul from Aldi that I mentioned in last
week’s Thoughts for

I was able to check out one near our house and
was able to get all of this for around $50. The produce was a little picked
over so I did end up stopping at the Cub on the way home BUT I did get most of
the things that I needed at Aldi. If you have never heard of Aldi,
let me give you a little explanation.
Plain and simple this is Aldi’s mission statement: Great quality shouldn’t
come at a high price; rather, great quality should come with everyday low
prices. It was started in 1960 in Germany and was considered the first discount
grocery store. Now they are in many states across the United States! While Aldi
carries their own brand of many things, I have found that the quality is still
really high! Here are a couple more close up of the different things that I

So as you can see, I was able to get a lot of food for around $50! As you can see of of the items have a * beside them. I just wanted to indicate the foods that we have already tried/cooked. I wasn’t super impressed with the wing sauce. Not sure if there just wasn’t enough flavor or too thick or what. I will use up the bottle though. Maybe try it on some chicken breast bake or something. Don’t worry, I can get creative…sometimes. 🙂
