Weekend in Review

Aaaand just like that the weekend is over. I did get today off (for President’s Day) so it was a nice long weekend for this girl! Bill worked but his work gives him a floating holiday if they work on holidays (the not as big ones anyway – thanksgiving, christmas, etc).

First of all, have any of you heard of Thai Rolled Ice Cream? It has started to become really popular here in the cities. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s really good and it seems to be growing like rapid fire! There are a ton of videos on Youtube and I am horrible at explaining, so here is a picture of one:

Bill and I had an easy going night. We recently got a new tv and with that Sony offered us the chance to download a 4k movie (from a very slim selection, mind you). We went with The Passengers with Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence. We thought it was actually good, regardless of what the reviews online say. After the movie, Bill and I headed to bed. #Adulting = going to bed at a decent time on a Friday night.

Right now, Bill and I are in the process of completely ripping out and redoing our downstairs bathroom. So a couple of weekends ago we went to a Home and Remodeling Show, which really was a waste of time actually. But we had someone scheduled to come at 10 am to get an estimate. WELL that was a total joke. What we didn’t know was that this guy was essentially coming to completely design something that we had to pull the trigger on. Right then and there. He was at our house for over 2.5 hours and the second we said that we were not interested in purchasing anything (since we were just looking for quotes), his attitude went cold and a little rude. Honestly, it was really a waste of time but now I guess we know. After that whole debacle, Bill and I relaxed for a bit and then headed out to my friend Amy’s house in Wisconsin. It’s only about a 50 minute drive and she has 2 dogs so a human and doggy play date ūüôā After some dinner and play, we headed home.

Unfortunately, I woke up with a massive headache. I honestly felt like I had been drinking all night, which obviously I haven’t being pregnant and all. It lasted all day and absolutely nothing helped so I was pretty miserable. I was craving a good burrito so Bill and I went to Pancheros. It was absolutely delicious.

I did however start Grey’s Anatomy. I’m pretty sure I am only person in the world that hasn’t seen that show but I thought, why the hell not? Bill’s parent’s have also been in Mexico for the past two weeks and were coming back so we went to the airport to pick them up. We then sat with them at their house to hear about their trip.

Today was a little more exciting of a day. I dropped Mya off at the groomers and then headed out to run some errands. Lowe’s, Marshalls, Home Depot, At Home, Doctor’s office, and Walmart.

Here’s a little before and after of Mya. It looks like they cut off her ear in the right photo but I promise that they didn’t!¬†My head was still killing me so I brought it up at my doctor’s appointment. She told me that I could take Excedrin and boy did I jump on that! Before I was pregnant, Excedrin was the only thing that worked for my crazy headaches. So you can about imagine my relief when my midwife told me I can take it! I would say all in all, it was a successful day off!
