How is it that we are now the week after the 4th?! I had a post ready to go for Thursday but didn’t have a chance to finish it. And I didn’t want to post something half assed.
I had last Monday and Tuesday (the 4th) off so I worked some on Friday to help make up for that time. Since I am hourly, I really try to make sure I get my 40 hours in every week. Once 1pm hit though, I was ready to be out of there. I headed home to change and get ready for the gym. I signed up to go to the 4:15pm class and was back home a little after 5! Those 30 minutes workouts kick my butt but leave me feeling accomplished! Bill and I decided to go out, just the two of us, after having a classy dinner of pizza and salad at home. We had a Groupon for 10K Brewing. The Groupon was 2 flights of beer, 2 pints of beer and 2 pint glasses to take home for $19. It was actually a good time and we found out they are dog friendly so we may have to bring Mya the next time! 😉 After that we hit up some other bars and then headed home.
My new gym only has a 8am class on Saturdays and I knew I wasn’t going to make that so I decided to go to Anytime. I still have the membership since by the time my challenge would end with my new gym and the time Anytime would cancel it, I would still be paying for both anyway. I put together a little workout but ended up leaving after 30 minutes. I still got a good workout in but wanted to get back since we had a day at the lake planned. We headed down to South Minneapolis and Lake Nokomis and let Mya swim in the lake along with their Golden Retriever Zoe. We don’t take Mya to water very often but she is getting the hang of it! We started throwing sticks in the water and she would swim out to get them, bring them back and we could just repeat that for awhile. We usually go to an area that isn’t overcrowded with people so Mya can be off leash. She does really well off leash actually. People can walk right in front of her with other dogs and she just watches as they pass by. I think we get more nervous about it than she does. After a couple of hours at the lake, we headed back to our friends house for a grill out and a little fire. I went right to bed when we got home, I was a tired girl!
Ever since the middle of June, I have been feeling like we have been go go go SO on Sunday I did NOTHING. I did put a pork butt in the crockpot for dinner but that is about it. It was really nice to just relax and not have to do anything. I mean I should have meal prepped buuuut of course I didn’t. We have quite a bit of pork left so I have a feeling I will be incorporating that into something for dinner tonight.
This week I am working some funky hours and then on Friday I have a meeting and then we are off to go camping. There is going to be 3 couples (that I know of) going and we are going to a state park about 2.5 hours away. Bill and I will probably be the first ones there since we are leaving earlier than everyone else. That’s okay though since that will give us some time to figure everything out at the campsite before it gets dark. Other than that, nothing else really planned for the week besides hitting up the gym and cleaning up that diet!
